Food as Culture: The Role of Gastronomy in Filipino Identity

April is Filipino Food Month, a time dedicated to celebrating and preserving the rich culinary heritage of the Philippines.  The month-long event honors the country's culinary heritage and highlights its diverse dishes. The Philippine Culinary Heritage Movement headed by Chef Jam Melchor spearheaded this initiative and was signed into law in the Philippines in 2018.
